The story behind this wedding is very special. You see, Chad (the groom) is blind. Nicole and Chad met each other a few years ago, and Chad had his sight then. They fell in love, and everything was going great. Then it happened. Nicole was at work when Chad called and told her he couldn’t see. It was the result of a large tumor located behind his eyes, that he had no idea about. There was an operation, and he lived, but lost his sight for good. You and I can’t even imagine what that must be like. But Nicole stuck right by his side, and their love conquered all!
The wedding was held at Canterbury Village in Lake Orion, Michigan. It was a fabulous day- the weather couldn’t have been better. Everyone was dressed to the nines. Nicole’s dress came from Bombshell Bridal in St. Clair Shores, and it was gorgeous! The wedding had a retro/vintage/rockabilly theme (that’s how I’d describe it!) The colors were vibrant and classy. Their florist- a close friend- made and surprised Nicole with an amazing bouquet that featured a cameo photo of her late father as a way for him to be at the wedding. Of course, we all lost it when he presented it to her! The wedding cake was made by Sweet Dreams in Orchard Lake- and it was perfect!
Nicole and Chad are two of the nicest people I’ve ever met. They are kind, generous, caring and authentic people who are so lucky to have found true love. I am so happy I was able to be there and capture their wedding day story for them.
So the moral of the story is: True Love will Always Find a Way! If you are getting married and would like more information on my documentary style wedding photography, get in touch– I’d love to hear more about your story!
