Pike’s Peak is under an hour away from Colorado Springs. And Red Rock Canyon Open Space is nearby, offering a completely different backdrop with the red rocks.
This is Helen Hunt Falls, near Colorado Springs. We hiked some nearby trails that were fairly easy, because it was our first day and we had to adjust to the altitude.
