I’m not your traditional wedding photographer. I specialize in documentary and fine art wedding photos that are full of intimacy and emotion. The kind that give you goosebumps, make you laugh- or maybe even cry when you look through your wedding images. My style can be dark, moody, sometimes colorful, but always authentic. I capture lots of natural, candid moments mixed with intimate and creative couple’s portraits. I thrive when photographing weddings that are intimate, adventurous, non-traditional, and set in nature.
My favorite thing is capturing creative, intimate portraits of a couple in love. I want to tell the story of your connection through emotive, artistic photographs.
I take a photojournalistic approach at weddings- that is, I’m very “hands-off”. I prefer to tell the story of your day as it unfolds, naturally, without staged photos, props, and re-creating other photos. I focus on the moments, the relationships, the emotions, and the energy of the day. I’d much rather get a meaningful shot with people in it, than a photo of your rings propped up on a table, or details of your dress with it on you than a staged shot of it hanging from a tree branch on a hanger. I like to blend in at your wedding as unobtrusively as possible and would much rather be seen as another guest with a camera than “the photographer”. My style isn’t for everyone - and that’s okay!
Making sure your wedding day goes as smoothly and stress-free as possible is important to me, because when you’re relaxed and enjoying yourselves, it’s easier for me to work. So I take the time before your wedding to help you with your planning and photography timeline. When it comes to group portraits, I keep these simple, quick, and easy.
I only take a limited number of weddings each year, so it’s important that every client is a good fit and is excited to work with me.
