Kristen and Rob are genuinely good people. They both love nature, adventure, and each other! I am so happy they chose me to photograph their beautiful Michigan wedding. The ceremony was held at the Hilton Auburn Hills Suites, and was the very first wedding they’ve hosted inside their atrium. It turned out to be a surprisingly beautiful and unique location! The ceremony featured an acoustic guitarist and a custom unity whiskey barrel full of the good stuff. How awesome is that? Afterwards, the bride and groom were showered with rose petals, then whisked away to their reception in a bright cherry red 1956 Chevy Bel Air (owned by the bride’s grandfather). I thought that was pretty rad.
The reception was held in White Lake at Indian Springs Metropark, and was simply gorgeous. The decor featured pastel florals with rose gold accents and copper wire with fairy lights. The seating chart was made out of custom Jenga blocks, and there was a huge wooden tree puzzle that guests could write messages to the bride and groom on. Their cake was topped with Pokemon, and there were “pokeball” cake pops. Are you kidding me?! The venue surprised the couple with their own “signature drink”, which was a huge hit, of course. I may or may not have tried one before the night was over… ;)
