Marquette Family Photos at Canyon Falls

Canyon Falls was the setting for these recent Marquette family photos. The natural beauty of the Upper Peninsula’s forests, lakes, and waterfalls sets the perfect backdrop for making memories. I had so much fun hanging out with this family. It was an exciting session full of laughter, love, and exploration.

Meet the family

The family consisted of mom, dad, daughter (7), and their adventurous pup Blue. She happens to be over 9 years old – which surprised me because she doesn’t seem a day over 4! She really stole the show, lol. I wanted them all to have a great time while also capturing some beautiful family photos, and that’s just what we did.

Exploring Canyon Falls

About an hour from downtown Marquette, Canyon Falls is a natural wonder located in Baraga County, Michigan. It’s a gorgeous place for a family photo session! As we made our way through the trails and to the falls, we paused to take some beautiful family portraits. The daughter was full of smiles, and her adventurous spirit shone through in every photo. Mom and dad were so proud of their little girl, and it was evident in the way they looked at her. We even made s’mores, which was a major highlight for everyone, myself included. :)
