“The serenity of the lulling ocean is a wondrous thing to behold..more precious than the gems coveted and covered in platinum or gold…”

Destination: Daytona Beach Shores and Ponce Inlet, April 1-April 6, 2018.
This was my first time driving from Michigan to Florida. I’ve flown into Orlando and visited that area before, but this was a new trip for me. I love traveling to new places!
Being unusually cold for April in Michigan, it was a nice getaway to warmer temps and sunnier skies. We made it a family trip- Scott (my husband), our daughter Natalie (she’s 8 going on 18), and me. Some other members of our family were also staying at the same resort in Daytona, and it was kind of like a reunion. One of the days I spent in Fort Pierce, studying with Twyla Jones (absolutely incredible photographer!), but those photos are for another post. I’m always learning and growing as an artist and business owner, and love the opportunity to learn from the best. ;)
I believe Florida’s East Coast would be an amazing place for a destination elopement or wedding because the beaches and skies are so beautiful. There’s usually a good amount of wind and waves, and the sky usually has more clouds than the west coast which is sheltered because of the Gulf of Mexico. Although, the sun doesn’t set over the ocean on this side of Florida, so you’d have to be mindful of the exact location you choose.
I think Daytona, Fort Pierce, and/or Ponce Inlet would make an awesome location for an Adventure Session! If you’re planning a family vacation, or a getaway for just the two of you, why not make some amazing photos with me at the same time? Shoot me a message and let’s start talking about your next adventure…
