Sarah and Ryan are an adventurous couple, so it’s no surprise that they wanted their “day after” wedding portraits to reflect that! The day after they tied the knot, we headed out to the Black Rocks in Marquette, Michigan to explore and make some amazing portraits.
After the wedding day is over and you’ve had a chance to catch your breath, it’s time to relax and enjoy some quality time with your new spouse. And what better way to do that than by having a wedding “day after” portrait session?
You get to spend some time together without the pressures of the wedding day, and you get a chance to get some beautiful pictures in a more relaxed setting. Plus, they’re a great opportunity to show off your wedding dress (or suit!) one last time. You don’t have to schedule a “day after” session on the actual day after your wedding, either!
The Black Rocks
The Black Rocks are a stunning natural wonder in Marquette, Michigan. They are huge volcanic rocks that have been smoothed over by years of waves crashing against them. You can almost imagine them as the ancient lava flows they are.
Sarah and Ryan were such a fun couple to work with, and they were totally up for adventuring around in search of the perfect spot for their portraits. We had so much fun climbing around on the rocks, laughing, and enjoying the beautiful views.
In the end, we got some truly stunning portraits of Sarah and Ryan as a married couple. They look so happy together, and you can just feel the love between them in these photos. It was such a pleasure to capture this special time in their lives, and I am so excited to share these photos with you!
The Black Rocks provided the perfect backdrop for their day-after portrait session and truly showcased their adventurous spirits. We had such a great time exploring and capturing these special moments. Congratulations again, Sarah and Ryan – thank you for choosing me to document your love story! <3
