Engagement Session At the Black Rocks: Marquette
Love is something that can never be bound by limitations. It’s a feeling that’s indescribable, and when you find that perfect person who fills your heart with joy, who you just can’t imagine your life without, it’s worthy of celebrating. As an engagement and wedding photographer, it’s a privilege for me to capture those magical moments that couples share. Recently, I had the honor of doing an engagement photo session with this amazing couple, Caitlyn and Shauna, in Marquette. The breathtaking sights of Presque Isle and Wetmore Landing provided the perfect backdrop for a dreamy session that will be cherished forever.
The Black Rocks & Wetmore Landing
We started their engagement session at Presque Isle, a beautiful place on the shores of Lake Superior. The view was stunning, and the weather was just perfect. The chemistry between Caitlyn and Shauna was undeniable as they explored the rocks and cliffs, creating a romantic setting for beautiful, meaningful engagement photos. Check out the really cool veins of quartz crystal that run through some of the rocks!
After spending some time at Presque Isle, we made our way over to Wetmore Landing, which has a gorgeous sandy beach area. I wanted to incorporate these bubble favors that I got at a recent wedding. It was hilarious trying to get them to actually work (it wasn’t easy, lol!). As we made our way through the forest back to the cars, I noticed the light filtering through the trees and had to stop for an intimate moment.
When Caitlyn and Shauna received their photos, they were overjoyed and grateful. It’s moments like this that make me feel grateful for the opportunity to work with such wonderful people. It’s not every day that I have the chance to capture such potent love stories, but when I do, it leaves an impact, and I’m humbled to have this privilege.
