Autumn Wedding In Copper Harbor, Michigan

On a perfect autumn day, Lindsay and Matthew said their vows in an intimate ceremony at the beach in Copper Harbor, Michigan. The waves of Lake Superior crashing against the shore provided a beautiful backdrop for their nuptials. The florals by Raven and Dove Floral Art were stunning, and the private dinner at Harbor Haus was full of joy and love. It was a truly magical day!

Copper Harbor is a small town located on the shores of Lake Superior in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula. The town is surrounded by forests, hiking, and biking trails, making it the perfect place for an autumn wedding. Lindsay and Matthew chose the beach as their ceremony venue because of its rugged, natural beauty. The waves crashing against the shore added a touch of magic to their special day.

The Florals

Raven and Dove Flora Art did an amazing job with the floral arrangements for Lindsay and Matthew’s wedding. The bouquets were overflowing with seasonal blooms in shades of red, cream, and blue. Their floral art was also full of autumnal flowers, local beach stones, and gorgeous greenery. The overall effect was wild and romantic, just like this wedding was.

The overall itinerary for the day: getting ready at Bella Vista Motel, where everyone stayed. Head to one of my super secret spots for the first look and photos. Then up to the top of Brockway Mountain for a few photos and then a surprise car-bar with custom cocktails named after the couple’s dogs, created by Lindsay’s brother and his wife (they own Let’s Stay Home Cocktail Kits and are amazing drink-makers!). Next a short venture to Haven Falls for more photos and exploring, and then off to Hunter’s Point for the ceremony.

The waves were crashing against the shore, and the wind carried messages of new beginnings. It was a perfect day for a wedding. They had a special unity where each set of couples poured a jar of different color crystals into one glass container. It was a beautiful symbol of this union. After the ceremony they passed around a bottle of bubbly and everyone gave the couple well-wishes or marriage advice.

The HARBOR HAUS

Finally we made our way to Harbor Haus for the private dinner reception. Harbor Haus is a beautiful restaurant with amazing views of Lake Superior. The dinner was absolutely incredible. The food was delicious, and the wine was flowing. It was such a great way to celebrate this perfect fall wedding!
