Chachagua Rainforest Hotel Elopement: La Fortuna, Costa Rica
Costa Rica Destination Wedding
Costa Rica, with its rugged landscapes, lush rainforests, and diverse ecosystems, stands as a quintessential paradise, making it an ideal locale for a rainforest destination wedding. The Chachagua Rainforest Ecolodge, nestled in the northwest part of Costa Rica, offers a picturesque setting for couples seeking a blend of natural beauty and ecological richness.
Chachagua Rainforest Ecolodge: Where Nature Embraces Love
Surrounded by dense rainforest, the Chachagua Rainforest Ecolodge boasts private villas, a renowned restaurant, and an array of on and off-property activities. This intimate resort provided the perfect backdrop for Dana, Vincent, and their guests, who sought an authentic and serene atmosphere for their celebration.
An Eco-Friendly Affair in the Heart of the Rainforest
Dana and Vincent’s decision to exchange vows in Costa Rica was driven by their appreciation for the country’s ecology and ambiance. Opting for the Chachagua Rainforest Ecolodge, they veered away from conventional, touristy settings, embracing a wedding venue that echoed their love for rugged natural landscapes. Amidst guided nature hikes, bird-watching expeditions, and morning yoga sessions, guests immersed themselves in the rainforest’s allure.
A Day of Serenity and Joy
The wedding day commenced with a soul-nourishing morning yoga session, setting the tone for a day filled with tranquility and connection. Against the backdrop of the rainforest, Dana and Vincent shared a heartfelt first look, encapsulating the essence of their love amidst nature’s grandeur. As they ventured into the wilderness for couple portraits and gathered by the pool for group photos, each moment exuded an enchanting serenity.
A Sacred Ceremony Amongst Giants
Underneath the towering canopy of a majestic Ceiba Tree, Dana and Vincent exchanged vows, surrounded by the melodious strains of ambient strings and the iconic tunes of Hall and Oates. The natural amphitheater of the rainforest lent a mystical ambiance to the ceremony, resonating with the couple’s deep reverence for the environment.
An Evening of Celebration and Togetherness
Following the ceremony, the festivities continued at Colibri Restaurant, where heartfelt speeches, a choreographed first dance, and spirited revelry illuminated the night. As the celebration unfolded, each moment became a testament to love, unity, and the boundless beauty of Costa Rica’s rainforests.
In essence, Dana and Vincent’s Costa Rica destination wedding at Chachagua Rainforest Ecolodge was a harmonious union of love and nature, weaving together moments of joy, serenity, and heartfelt connection amidst the breathtaking landscapes of Central America’s verdant heart.

Can you guess what song was playing during their ceremony exit? …Ok I’ll tell you- it was “You Make My Dreams” by Hall & Oates :D

As you already know, I LOVE everything about this intimate wedding! I FEEL everything in all the details and the atmosphere. Its how I picture my elopement someday. Intimate and beautiful, just like you captured for this couple. Did they do a first look with the big leaves? I love that idea, it’s so creative. That tree too!! I remember you posting about hiking to that spot the day prior, getting all excited about how beautiful it was!!
Hi Julie! Thanks so much!!! I want you to be able to get married like this, too. :) Yes- they did a first look with the big leaves! So fun, right?! The tree that they got married under is RIDICULOUS!!!
